THE KEY TO PROPHECY

By

Bertrand L. Comparet

TODAY we easily see how each of the great events of the Old Testament days was prophesied long in advance. Yet, the people were strangely blind to it when the events were coming upon them. Today it is the same; the prophecies concerning the end of the age are being fulfilled, yet the people in most churches cannot make head or tail of it. They wait expectantly for the smallest things to happen, meanwhile being blind to what is actually happening to them. This is because they don’t know to whom the prophecies apply, so they look to the wrong people, in the wrong place, for their fulfilment

Yahweh did not prophesy indiscriminately about everything and everybody. The great empires of China, India, the Inca, Maya and Aztec nations of South and Central America were never noticed in the Bible, for they had nothing to do with Yahweh’s people nor His religion. To understand prophecy, you must know to whom the prophecy is addressed. Bible prophecies are grouped into certain main lines, each with its own subject.

(1) MESSIANIC PROPHECIES CONCERNING YAHSHUA

They foretold His virgin birth, the place where He would be born, many details of His ministry, healing the sick, giving sight to the blind. All the details of His betrayal and crucifixion were given, and His resurrection on the third day, etc. Obviously, only Yahshua could fulfil these, if you waited for someone else, you could reach only doubt and confusion. All the other main lines of prophecy are also directed specifically to some one subject and cannot be fulfilled by anyone but the people concerning whom they were written.

(2) PROPHECIES CONCERNING THE TWELVE TRIBES OF ISRAEL

As we know, Israel split into two nations upon the death of Solomon in 975 B.C. and the two nations then had their separate histories and different destinies to fulfil. Either one alone of the two nations it became cannot fulfil prophecies relating to the whole house of Jacob. The same applies to any Gentile People

(3) THE TWO-TRIBED NATION OF JUDAH

Judah and Benjamin remained when the ten tribed Israel split away from it. These prophecies deal with the short-lived nation, foretelling its captivity in Babylon for 70 years. Then it tells about the return of a remnant to build the 70 weeks nation foretold by Daniel, which would fulfil and outlive its purposes in 490 years. It was to provide the sanctuary for Yahshua’s first coming and His sacrifice for us on the cross. After that it served no further purpose and within one generation it disappeared from history. Just as it is obvious that China, Rome or Argentina could not fulfil any of these prophecies, neither could the house of Judah fulfil prophecies that do not concern her.

(4) THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL

Beginning as the ten tribed nation, which broke away from Judah, they had a separate destiny. It was to be Yahweh’s dominion. It must become a great nation and a company of nations. It must be Yahweh’s battle-axe and weapons of war, with which He broke up the evil, pagan nations of the earth. It must become a great seafaring people, from the Norse Vikings of the several centuries following the decay of the Roman Empire, down through the mighty navies of Great Britain and the United States. Its people must multiply like the stars of heaven in number and they must receive the new covenant and become Christians. They must possess and develop the lands, which other people had allowed to remain desolate. They must take Yahweh’s religion and civilization to many lands, to show forth His praise in the earth. All these prophecies concern the house of Israel only and nobody but the Anglo-Saxon, Scandinavian and Germanic nations have fulfilled them. These we know to be the living generations of Yahweh’s people Israel.

If you watch for fulfilment of these prophecies by Egypt, the Congo, Russia, China, India or South America, you not only waste your time in vain, while watching the empty ring, you overlook the performance going on in the active ring.

(5) THE JEWS

Here, wilful blindness of most churches has utterly confused their religion. They persist in applying Yahweh’s prophecies about Israel to the Jews. Since the Jews never did and never could fulfil any of these, such churches have to make excuses for the apparent failure of prophecy and their faith is badly weakened. They must pretend the time has not yet come for fulfilment of any of these prophecies, so the Jews can do these things in some indefinite future. This blinds them to the fact these prophecies have already been fulfilled by the real Israel.

These have been fulfilled so far that nothing is left to watch for but the Russian and Chinese communist attack on the unwalled cities of Israel, then the second coming of Yahshua, for which they are not prepared.

In Isaiah 65:l5 Yahweh said to the Jews,

“Ye shall leave your name as a curse to My chosen, for Yahweh shall slay thee and call His servants by another name.”

Yahweh said in Jeremiah 24:9 the Jews would become

“a reproach and a proverb, a taunt and a curse, in all places whither I shall drive them.”

Yahweh prophesied that they would be recognized by their faces. Isaiah 3:9 describes the Jews thus,

“The show of their countenance doth witness against them and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide it not”.

They would be scattered, as wanderers and their conduct would keep them under attack. Ezekiel 5:12 describes what will happen to the Jews.

“A third part shall fall by the sword around about thee; and I will scatter a third part unto all the winds and I will draw out a sword after them”.

All these things have happened, but this has been overlooked by those who were watching only for that which the Jews couldn’t do because Yahweh had foretold that only Israel could do it.

(6) THE THRONE OF DAVID

In these prophecies Yahweh promised the throne of David would always rule over at least a part of His people, that the house of David will never lack a descendant to sit upon that throne. Finally, Yahshua, who is born of the house of David, will return to rule the entire world from that throne. We know that the royal families of Britain and the Scandinavian countries are descended from David. In all these centuries, these prophecies have never failed for even one day and the final fulfilment of Yahshua’s return is drawing near.

(7) THE BABYLONIAN SUCCESSION OF EMPIRES

This is told principally in Daniel and Revelation. Their rise to power, their brutal character, their satanic but futile opposition to the nations of Israel and their fall, all occurred as prophesied. The final stages of these prophecies are happening before our eyes today when you know who is who.

(Cool THE KINGDOM OF YAHWEH

This is not something to begin in the vague future. Daniel’s continued prophecy, after foretelling the Babylonian succession of empires, beginning with King Nebuchadnezzar to whom he spoke, is recorded in Daniel 2:44.

“In the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms and it shall stand forever.”

The kingdom of Yahweh was set up on earth centuries ago, in the days of the kings of the Babylonian succession of empires. It is still here and most of you who hear my voice are living in it.

(9) THE CHURCH

This is not a nation; it has no armies or navies. It rules no territories, it conducts no commerce, it is not as numerous as the stars, but it is a little flock. It is the spiritual centre of the nations of Israel, but it fulfils only its own prophecies and none of the prophecies of Israel are transferred to it.

These nine main lines of prophecy are like as many different trains, coming from different places with different passengers and arriving at the depot on different tracks. You will miss your train if you wait at the wrong platform. Never in all eternity will a Gentile train arrive on an Israel platform, nor will an Israel train arrive at a Jewish platform, nor a kingdom of Yahweh train at a church platform. The only key to the understanding of prophecy is to watch for each train of prophecy at its own platform.

THE TWO HOUSES OF ISRAEL

AN INTRODUCTION TO BIBLE PROPHECY

By

Pastor J.S. Brooks

AN important key to understanding Israel in prophecy is that after the time of Solomon God’s people were split into two nations, the house of Israel (ten tribes), and the house of Judah (two tribes), as related in First Kings, chapter 12. This division continued, for God speaks of “the two families” whom He had chosen — Israel and Judah — and declares, “Thus says the Lord: If I have not established my covenant with day and night and the ordinances of heaven and earth, then I will reject the descendants of Jacob [Israel] and David my servant [Judah] ...” (Jeremiah 33:24-26) These two families are called the “two wives”(Jeremiah 3:6-14), “sisters” (Ezekiel 23:2), “two nations” (Ezekiel 37:22), and “two kingdoms.” (Ezekiel 37:22) They were the “two sons” of Christ’s parables, indicating their continuing separateness in His day. (Matthew 21:28-32; Luke 15:11-32)

In fact, the first Scriptural mention of the Jews is in 2 Kings 16:6 where they were at war with Israel. Letters were written by the chief rabbis of the British Empire in 1918 and 1950, explaining that this division has continued to the present day, and that the Jewish people are descended only from the house of Judah. The house of Israel, sometimes called ‘Ephraim’ after its leading tribe, instead was conquered by Assyria in the 8th century, B.C. and scattered through the nations of the world.

“In the ninth year of Hoshea the king of Assyria took Samaria, and carried Israel away into Assyria, and placed them in Halah and in Habor by the river of Gozan, and in the cities of the Medes ... So was Israel carried away out of their own land to Assyria unto this day.”

The parable of the two sticks in Ezekiel 37:15-30 reveals that the coming reunion of the two houses will occur only at the end of the present age, just before the last great battle described in chapter 38. Similarly, it is when “the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea,” that “the outcasts of Israel” and “the dispersed of Judah” are gathered together “from the four corners of the earth.” (Isaiah 11:9, 11, 13) Some say that they were reunited in the land of Assyria shortly after their captivity began. If so, how can the separate sets of latter day promises be fulfilled to Judah and Israel if they were reunited 2700 years ago? Instead, we are told that they would be rejoined when they had “One Shepherd,” David’s Greater Son, the Messiah (Ezekiel 37:24; John 11:51-52), which awaits the full conversion of Judah to Jesus Christ. Given this future time frame, the reunion could not yet have fully occurred. The Bible presents much additional evidence that the houses of Israel and Judah are still separate nations and peoples in our world today, and clearly identifies the “lost sheep of the house of Israel.” (Matthew 10:5; 15:24)

Indeed, there are many clues to the identity of lost Israel from both the Bible and history. The Apocrypha tells us that they were conquered by Assyria and dispersed to an uninhabited land, “where never mankind dwelt” (2 Esdras 13:40-48), a good description of uninhabited Europe of that day. Isaiah 62:2 says that they would have “a new name.” They would become “a company of nations” (Genesis 17:5), “many nations” (Genesis 35:11), and would take the gospel “to the ends of the earth” (Isaiah 49:6). In fact, Ezekiel tells us that the dispersion of the house of Israel was God’s way of purifying this people: “I will scatter you among the nations and disperse you through the countries: and I will consume your uncleanness out of you.” (Ezekiel 22:15, Masoretic Text) They would have a new land, a new heart, a new Spirit, and a New Covenant. (2 Samuel 7:10, Ezekiel 36:24-26, Jeremiah 31:31) The result would be that God would use them to set right the earth. (Isaiah 42:3-7) Who could this people be in our modern world? The Bible gives us many clues, including the heraldic emblems associated with each of the tribes of Israel in Genesis 48 and Deuteronomy 33.

Scythian Soldier

The details in our picture help to tell the story of these “lost sheep” in our world today. The soldier in the foreground wears brightly coloured clothing which was favoured by the people popularly called Scythian, the Greek form of the Medo-Persian word, Saka. A later form of the word is “Saxon,” from the Medo-Persian, “Saka-Suni” or ‘Sons of the Saca.’ In his book The Story of Celto-Saxon Israel, Mr WH. Bennett provides scholarly evidence of the origin of the words, Scythian, Saka, or Saxon in the word, Isaac. The soldier’s colourful clothing reminds us of the Patriarch Joseph’s famous “coat of many colours” referred to in Genesis 37:3, 23, and 32. The origin and inspiration of the famous Scottish Tartan patterns may also date back to Joseph. Indeed, the word, “tartan,” itself was a Semitic term for a military official or captain of a host. (2 Kings 18:17; Isaiah 20:1)

In the soldier’s belt is a battle-axe, an identifying mark of Israel, the nation called in Scripture, “God’s battleaxe.”

Jeremiah 51:20 says: “Thou art my battle axe and weapons of war: for with thee will I break in pieces the nations, and with thee will I destroy kingdoms.”

Other Biblical prophets echo this: “Thus shall they be taking captive their captors, and shall tread down their oppressors.” - (Isaiah 14:2)

“Behold, I will make thee a new sharp threshing instrument, having teeth, thou shalt thresh the mountains [large nations], and beat them small, and shalt make the hills [small nations] as chaff.” - (Isaiah 4l :15)

“Arise and thresh, 0 daughter of Zion, for I will make your horns of iron, and your hoofs of brass, and you shall beat in pieces many peoples” - (Micah 4:13)

The battle-axe — a symbol of Israel — also symbolized their descendants, the ‘Saka,’ or ‘Saxons,’ exactly as the prophets foretold. Remarkably, it was only during the time of Israel’s defeat and dispersion by the Assyrians and Babylonians, when the future looked darkest, that these prophecies of victorious military conquests were given by Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Micah! Clearly, the story of Ephraim-Israel did not end with the 8th century, B.C. destruction of the Northern Kingdom and its capital, Samaria, but prophecy was fulfilled in succeeding centuries in the form of ‘Scythian’ tribal victories in Asia and Europe.

Mountains in prophecy signify large nations, and hills are small nations. Is there evidence that these Hebrew Saka-Scythians overthrew large kingdoms? The Universal Jewish Encyclopedia tells of Assyria’s last days:

“In 1923 the British Museum published a newly discovered Babylonian chronicle giving a detailed description of the events which transpired ... [in] Assyria’s last days. We learn from it that the Chaldeans were combined with the Medes and with the Scythians, [who were] an important factor in the weakening of Assyria; that ... in 612 proud Nineveh fell before an assault of the Medes, who were aided by Nabopolassar and a contingent of Scythians.” (1.566-567)

Yes, the SAKA-Scythians, or house of Isaac, played a prominent part in the overthrow of the Assyzian Empire, and other kingdoms as well.

Despite such conquests, they found themselves moving ever westward through the centuries, for God foretold that He would, “let the blessing come upon the head of Joseph... his horns are like the horns of unicorns: with them he shall push the people together to the ends of the earth.” - (Deuteronomy 33:16-17) Joseph is an important tribe of the house of Israel whose heraldry is now found in Britain, and the “ends of the earth” is a fitting symbol for Western Europe at the bounds of the Atlantic Ocean.

Famous respected Bible scholar, Dr James Augustus Strong, compiler of Strong’s Concordance and other works, made this statement, “The larger proportion of the Ten Tribes were, in a state more or less pure, propagated to distant regions by the great national migrations proceeding from Central Asia.” - (McClintock and Strong’s Cyclopedia, X:545) These great national migrations were from Asia westward, and included the Mongols, Huns, Slavs, and other tribes who pushed, or were pushed by, the lost tribes of Israel into Europe. Dr. Strong’s comments indicate that the house of Israel fled from Assyria northward through the Caucasus Mountains, where they were caught up in the westward migration of peoples and settled in Europe.

Memories of their former homeland in the Mid-East were not entirely forgotten, for the famous Roman geographer and historian, Pliny (Natural History, book 4) recorded the Saka-Scythian statement that they were “descended from slaves.” The Israelites, of course, were slaves in Egypt, and captives in the land of Assyria, as well. If these SAKA were not Israelites, then to what ancestral captivity were they referring? As these tribes migrated across Europe to the Baltic Sea, Pliny records that in their language, “the name for it Is Morimarusa, that is, [the] ‘Dead Sea.’” [ibid.] The Baltic Sea, being connected with the Atlantic Ocean, is very salty like the Dead Sea of Palestine; but it is teeming with life and far from dead. They obviously carried with them knowledge of an ancestral dwelling near a salty body of water called the Dead Sea. They would not have named the Baltic after the Dead Sea of ancient Israel unless they were Israelites. In fact, early Greek historian, Herodotus, recorded in his History (4:76) that one of the Scythian kings was named “Saulius,” evidently named after the first Hebrew king, Saul. (I Samuel 9)

On the soldier’s head is a distinctive high-peaked hat that Harper’s Bible Dictionary (“dress” p.227) depicts as an important part of the “Hebrew royal attire.” It is called a “mitre,” and was worn by the Israelite high priests. - (Exodus 28:37) Herodotus recorded in his History (7.64) that, “The Sacae, who are Scythians, have high caps tapering to a point and stiffly upright.” This style of hat is found on the Behistun Rock, where Scythian king Skunka is depicted wearing it. The Cambridge History of Iran, [vol.3:2:913] states, “We furthermore have some stories about Jewish officials bearing Parthian names, Arda, Arta, and Pyl-y Barish who had a mounted retinue of troops and wore high hats.” In Europe of later centuries, it became known as a “Wizard’s Cap,” often with the depiction of a half-moon, the symbol of Muhammadism. Far from being of Muslim origin, the moon symbol apparently denotes the eastern origin of this ancestral clothing.

Other distinctive dress of the early European Scythian tribes included “polychrome” enamelled jewellery, which is known to have originated in Medo-Persia where the Israelite lost tribes were resettled by Assyria. Russian archaeologist, Michael Rostovtzeff said, “The style as such develops in the East, in Iranian lands, as we see from the Oxus and Susa treasures.” (Iranians and Greeks in South Russia, pp. 173) A book on Persian art shows an ancient Persian breastpin, displaying the intricate interloped pattern that has come to be associated with the Celtic peoples.

The horses depicted are of a strong, stocky short legged breed that is now extinct, except for some mixed descendants that are found today in Spain. These horses were multi-use, for although they had some oxen, they also used horses in a variety of capacities. In fact, according to Hebrew scholar, Dr Isaac E. Mozeson, our English word, horse, itself comes from the Hebrew word, Horesh, meaning to plough. [Radio interview on ‘Southwest Radio Church’ broadcast] These horses were well adapted for the rough and mountainous terrain that was the scene of their travels.

The ancient Greek historian, Herodotus (Bk 4), tells us that the Scythians travelled with their wives, children, and belongings in covered wagons, perhaps presenting a picture reminiscent of the early American pioneers in their famous ‘Conestoga Wagons’ on the Western frontier. Viewing the picture above, in the far distance a Scythian wagon train is dwarfed beneath the towering Caucasus Mountains. These mountains soared thousands of feet above sea level, causing some historians to suppose that they were impassable. To the contrary these peaks were traversed many times by both Scythian and Persian. A ‘Daryal Pass’ valley route sometimes called, “the Pass of Israel,” is clearly marked out in red in the Cambridge History Of Iran, (vol. 3:1:522); it was a favourite passage-way to Europe from the Mid-East.

There are many evidences of Hebrews in the Caucasus. The Jewish Encyclopedia states, “...the Caucasus Jews claim to be descendants of the Lost Ten Tribes of Israel ... the Georgians are equally certain of their descent from the Israelites who were taken from Palestine by Shalmanesar [726-722 B.C.].” (111.628) Do we have any proof that Hebrews were in the Caucasus and that they were in fact lost tribes of the house of Israel? The Universal Jewish Encyclopedia carries a fascinating article documenting the early presence of Hebrews in the Caucasus Mountains. It states, “The first immigration of [Israelites] into the Trans-Caucasus (supposed to have taken place in the 7th century, B.C.E., during the reign of the Assyrian kings) is recounted in ancient Armenian and Georgian chronicles. According to these chronicles, [Israel] arrived in these regions as early as the beginning of the 6th century, B.C.E. The first arrivals were probably free merchants, while the later partly came as captives.” (VIII:26) What Israelites were in captivity in the 6th and 7th centuries B.C.? These were the lost ten tribes of the house of Israel, found in the Caucasus Mountains of Eastern Europe a few short years after their dispersion, according to the ancient Armenian and Georgian Chronicles. It is also significant that the Caucasus Mountain nation we call, Georgia is known to its inhabitants by its native name of ‘Sakartvelo,’ and another early town there is called, ‘Sachkhere,’ perhaps revealing the presence of the ‘Saka’ in that region in early times.

The Universal Jewish Encyclopedia continues, “tombstones were discovered, dating from the 4th to 5th centuries, one of them bearing an inscription In Aramaic.” (VIII:26) Aramaic was the language of the region of Halah and Habor, where Assyria settled many of the captive Israelites. Several of these tombstones, from a Hebrew graveyard in the Crimea, north of the Caucasus, were translated in the Transactions of the Society of Biblical Archaeology in 1874. One read, “This is the tombstone of BUKI, the son of Isaac the priest; may his rest be in Eden, at the time of the salvation of Israel. In the year 702 of the years of our exile.” This tombstone dates to 6 A.D., during the time of Christ.

Many of the house of Judah were captured, along with the ten tribes of the house of Israel, at the time of the Assyrian conquest. Second Kings 18:13 records:

“Now in the fourteenth year of king Hezekilah did Sennacherib king of Assyria come up against all the fenced cities of Judah, and took them.”

This conquest included major cities of Judah such as Lachish. - (2 Chronicles 32:9) Only Jerusalem was spared the Assyrian conquest, so members of both houses of Israel and Judah were taken into captivity. Is it coincidence that the royal banner of England shows two symbols, the lion and the stag (or unicorn), the emblems of both of these houses? Yet a significant number of Judah were spared Assyrian conquest, to be used of God as His Sanctuary (Psalm 114:2) and be reunited completely with their brethren of the ten tribes at the end of the age.

Until that day arrives, we have God’s sure Promise, “For thus saith the LORD; David shall never want a man to sit upon the throne of the house of Israel” - (Jeremiah 33:17) Somewhere in the world, David’s descendants have reigned in an unbroken succession throughout subsequent centuries. The land of Canaan in Palestine became a virtually uninhabited wasteland after the Assyrian and Babylonian conquests, so it is certain that this prophecy was not fulfilled there. Instead, we saw that many of the tribe of Judah were exiled with the house of Israel, so David’s descendants may indeed have reigned with the ten tribes in new homelands. The poor rocky soil of the Caucasus would have caused most of them to continue north into lands beyond. Where could David’s descendants have reigned over the house of Israel except in Europe? The real question therefore is not whether Hebrew tribes migrated to early Europe (the evidence indicates that they did), but instead, what percentage of Europeans are of Hebrew descent? The evidence gathered shows it to be significant in many parts of Europe. You are invited to write for more information!

DANIEL'S FIFTH KINGDOM

By

Dr. Bertrand Comparet

IT is universally recognized that many of the Bible’s greatest prophecies are found in the Book of Daniel. Many of these are phrased in such obscure language that they were hard to understand until their fulfilment made clear their meaning. That is exactly what God intended: for He had His angel tell Daniel,

“But thou, 0 Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end ... for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly; and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand” - (Daniel 12: 4, 9-10).

However, actual events which have followed through the centuries have fulfilled these prophecies so unmistakably that their meaning is now clear.

One of these prophecies is accepted by all churches that I know of, and they have agreed upon its meaning for the first 4/5 of it. Yet this prophecy so clearly sets forth the Anglo-Saxon Israel doctrines that it is hard to see how the preachers of these churches can be blind to it; and this is an especial challenge to all preachers who deny the truth of the Anglo-Saxon Israel doctrines: Follow this with me in your Bibles, and then let me hear you deny it.

I refer to Nebuchadnezzar’s image, which Daniel explained as a prophecy sent by God. This is all in the second chapter of Daniel. You will remember that in Babylon, King Nebuchadnezzar had a dream of such obvious importance that it greatly troubled him: But on waking, he forgot his dream, so he could not tell it to his wise men, to ask their interpretation. Being a typical Oriental monarch, he found a quick solution to this puzzle: We read,

“And in the second year of the reign of Nebuchadnezzar, Nebuchadnezzar dreamed dreams, wherewith his spirit was troubled, and his sleep brake from him. Then the king commanded to call the magicians, and the astrologers, and the sorcerers, and the Chaldeans, for to shew the king his dreams. So they came and stood before the king. And the king said unto them, I have dreamed a dream, and my spirit was troubled to know the dream. Then spoke the Chaldeans to the king in Syriac, 0 king, live forever! Tell thy servants the dream, and we will shew the interpretation. The king answered and said to the Chaldeans, The thing is gone from me: if ye will not make known unto me the dream, with the interpretation thereof, ye shall be cut in pieces, and your houses shall be made a dunghill” - (Daniel 2:1-5).

This was surely a startlingly unreasonable demand to make. These were sorcerers, old hands at the game of thinking up impressive but vague answers - vague and equivocal enough to let them fit their words into whatever might happen, an art they shared with some of the famous Greek oracles. But to be required to give an answer when you didnt yet know what the question was! That was too much to expect. They replied,

“There is not a man upon the earth that can shew the king’s matter: therefore, there is no king, lord, nor ruler, that asked such things of any magician, or astrologer or Chaldean. And it is a rare thing that the king requireth, and there is none other that can shew it before the king, except the gods, whose dwelling is not with flesh.”

But this did not pacify the king, who commanded that all the magicians, astrologers and Chaldeans be killed, because their inability to explain his dream exposed them as frauds. Only Daniel and his Hebrew companions escaped this purge, because God gave to Daniel the power to recount the dream itself, as well as to explain it. In Daniel’s own words, this was the dream:

“Thou, 0 king, sawest, and behold a great image. This great image, whose brightness was excellent stood before thee: and the form thereof was terrible. This image’s head was of fine gold, his breast and his arms of silver, his belly and his thighs of brass, his legs of iron, his feet part of iron and part of clay.”

Then Daniel went on to explain to king Nebuchadnezzar the meaning of this image:

“Thou, 0 king, art a king of kings: for the God of heaven has given thee a kingdom, power, and strength, and glory. And wheresoever the children of men dwell, the beasts of the field and the fowls of the heaven hath He given into thine hand, and has made thee ruler over them all. Thou art this head of gold. And after thee shall arise another kingdom inferior to thee, and another third kingdom of brass, which shall bear rule over all the earth. And the fourth kingdom shall be strong as iron: forasmuch as iron breaks in pieces and subdues all things: and as iron that breaks all these, shall it break in pieces and bruise. And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potter’s clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided, but there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, forasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay. And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken. And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay” - (Daniel 2:31-43).

As I said, the churches are all in agreement that this image represents the Babylonian Succession of Empires.

The head was Babylon itself, under Nebuchadnezzar, who brought it to its pinnacle of power and wealth. In its day, it was the most important empire in the then known world: western Asia and the lands fronting on the Mediterranean Sea. It ruled the entire Fertile Crescent, from the Persian Gulf even to Egypt. The next succeeding empire of comparable power was that of the Medes and Persians, who conquered Babylon about 536 B.C. The kingdom of Media was absorbed in the rising power of Persia even before the conquest of Babylon. This Persian Empire extended from Northwest India and Afghanistan across the Fertile Crescent, over most of Asia Minor (which constitutes modern Turkey), down through Syria and Palestine, and even included Egypt. This was the empire represented by the “breast and arms of silver” in Nebuchadnezzar’s dream image. It was conquered and absorbed into the empire of Alexander “the Great,” of Macedon between the years 334 and 331 B.C. Alexander became king of Macedonia in 336 B.C.; by 332 he had conquered Asia Minor (modern Turkey), Syria, Palestine and Egypt; he conquered the Tigris-Euphrates Valleys in 331, swept over Persia, Bactria (largely the same as modern Afghanistan) and into North India. In ten years, he had built up an empire covering all the then known civilized world from Greece eastward to northern India. In 323 B.C. he died in drunken debauchery in Babylon. His huge but short-lived empire was the “belly and thighs of brass” in Nebuchadnezzar’s dream-image.

Fourth and last came the great empire of Rome represented by the legs of iron. The city of Rome was founded in 753 B.C., and the Roman Republic, which began its greatness, was established about 500 B.C. Its empire began with the conquest of Macedonia and Egypt, in 168 B.C. Eventually, the Roman Empire expanded so that it ruled Italy, Spain, Gaul (modern France), Macedonia, Greece, North Africa and Egypt, western Asia Minor, Syria, and Palestine; its frontiers were: the Atlantic Ocean, the Irish Sea, the south border of Scotland, the North Sea, the River Rhine, the Danube River, the Black Sea, the Caucasus Mountains, Armenia, to the middle of ancient Babylonia, the Arabian Desert, the Red Sea, Nubia and the Sahara Desert, and the Moroccan mountains. Its outstanding characteristic was its harsh and cruel treatment of its subject peoples: as Daniel said,

“and the fourth kingdom shall be strong as iron: for as much as iron breaks in pieces and subdues all things: and as iron that breaks all these, shall it break in pieces and bruise.”

Remember there were two legs of iron, and so the Roman Empire split into the Western, or Roman Empire, and the Eastern Empire, often called “Byzantine.”

Likewise, each of these two was an enforced mixture of different peoples, having nothing in common except that they were ruled by the Roman Army; and when that military force failed, they broke up into their original fragments. As Daniel had said,

“As the toes of the feet were part of iron and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong and partly broken. And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not leave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.”

Up to this point, all the churches are with me 100%. Their preachers all agree that these are the empires which Daniel’s prophecy foretold, because they fulfil that prophecy so perfectly.

Now we come to the place where most of the churches don’t want to recognize Daniel as a prophet. Let’s continue with what Daniel said. After concluding his description of the image and its interpretation as these four successive empires, in the very next verse, Daniel 2:44, he says:

“And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever.”

Now, let’s analyse this. First of all, let us note that this fifth kingdom spoken of by Daniel is not not like the first four: they were the creations of pagan men; but this fifth kingdom shall be set up by God Himself. When shall it come into existence? “In the days of these kings” - that is, at some time during the existence of the four empires of the Babylonian order. So, let us refresh memory as to their dates. Babylon and its empire came to an end in 536 B.C., when it was conquered by the Medo-Persian Empire; the Medo-Persian Empire caine to an end when it was overrun and conquered by the armies ofAlexander the Great, 331 B.C. After his death, Alexander’s empire fell apart into four parts, as another prophecy of Daniel’s had foretold. Alexander died in 323 B.C. These are the first three empires symbolized by Nebuchadnezzar’s dream-image; this leaves only the fourth and last, Imperial Rome.

The city of Rome was founded in 753 B.C.; the Republic was established about 500 B.C.; expansion into an empire began with the conquest of Macedonia and Egypt, 168 B.C. We need not cover in detail the history of the Roman Empire: enough to note that, just as the dream-image had two legs, the Roman Empire was divided into eastern and western parts: first by emperor Diocletian, in 283 A.D., and the division became permanent at the death of emperor Theodosius, 395 A.D. The two separate empires, the western generally governed from Rome and always called Roman, and the eastern, governed from Constantinople (the original name of which city had been Byzantium), and generally called the Byzantine Empire, continued for some time after their separation.

The western, or Roman Empire, fought a losing battle against the ever-increasing pressure of the invading peoples who were the Israelites, moving from Scythia into their new European homes. The Visigoths were an Israelite people, largely Christian by 350 A.D. They were driven west by the pressure of the invading Huns; they entered the Roman Empire in 376 A.D., scoring a decisive victory over Roman armies in 378, so Rome ceded them certain Roman territories; they invaded Italy in 400 A.D., forced Rome to pay ransom in 408 A.D. That year Rome withdrew its armies from Britain to aid in the defence of Rome; but to no avail, for in 410 A.D. the Visigoths captured and looted the City of Rome itself and in 412 they moved on into southern France and northern Spain, ruling Spain until the Moorish conquest in 711. In 476 A.D., Odoacer, the general of German mercenary soldiers in the Roman army, rebelled, captured the capital city of the Western Roman Empire and deposed the last emperor, Romulus Augustulus; and this date, 476 A.D. is accepted by historians as marking the end of the Western Roman Empire.

Understanding Prophecy Empty
PostSubject: Re: Understanding Prophecy   Understanding Prophecy I_icon_minitimeSat Aug 08, 2009 11:46 am

Meanwhile, the eastern empire, generally called the Byzantine Empire with Constantinople as its capital, claimed to be ruling even the Western Roman Empire, although this was claim rather than fact except for brief periods: From 395 A.D., the Western Roman Empire was separate. Enemy pressures were building up against the Eastern, or Byzantine Empire borders, pressures too strong to be resisted. By about 650 A.D., the Moslems had conquered Arabia, Syria, Palestine, Egypt, North Africa and Sicily: The Byzantine Empire was reduced to Asia Minor and the Balkans. Then, in 1074, the Turks captured most of Asia Minor. Then came enemies from an unexpected source: The combined forces of Venice and the Fourth Crusade captured Constantinople in 1204, taking also all the Balkan territories, and they set up the short-lived Latin Empire of Constantinople. While the authority of the Byzantine Empire was restored in the City of Constantinople in the I260s, all the Balkan territories were lost: They broke up into many small independent nations. (Remember that Daniel said that the toes were part iron and part clay, and would not stick together!) For two centuries more, a mere shadow of the Byzantine Empire continued, consisting of just the City of Constantinople and its environs, until the Turks captured the city in A.D. 1453, ending the last pretence of the existence of this leg of the Roman Empire.

So the year 1453 marks the end of the four world-empires of Nebuchadnezzar’s dream-image. Remember now, the words which many preachers won’t face because it ruins their doctrines: in Daniel 2: 44, Daniel said,

“In the days of these kings shall the God of Heaven set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever.”

We must find God’s own kingdom in this world, not in some remote future to which the preachers would like to assign it, but NOW: It must have had its beginning “in the days of these kings” - and therefore we must study this period which we have seen, extends from Daniel’s own time, about 600 B.C. to not later than 1453 A.D.; for that is the period in which the kings of the Babylonian succession of Empires ruled, as we have just seen. Why do the preachers like to ignore this verse of Daniel’s prophecy? Because there is a great kingdom which was set up within that period, and which still exists, just as God promised through Daniel that it would. But it is a nation of Anglo-Saxon Israel: And if they recognize this as a kingdom which the God of Heaven set up, they can no longer deny the truth of the Anglo-Saxon Israel doctrines. So they would rather try to make a liar of Daniel than to admit that their own doctrines are in error and that God has kept His promises to His people Israel.

If it shocks you to think that the nations of Anglo-Saxon Germanic and Scandinavian Israel today are the Kingdom of God, then prepare to be shocked, for that is just what I am about to prove. The Kingdom of God is the only everlasting kingdom. Psalm 22:27-28 says,

“All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the Lord: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before Thee. For the kingdom is the Lord’s: and He is the governor among the nations.”

Psalm 145:13-14, says,

“Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom and Thy dominion endureth throughout all generations,”

Daniel 4:3 adds,

“How great are His signs! And how mighty are His wonders! His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and His dominion is from generation to generation.”

But this Kingdom of God is not just an abstract idea, lost somewhere among the clouds; it is a very real kingdom upon this earth. It has not been governed as well while mere men rule it as it will be when Jesus Christ returns to be its king; nevertheless, it is still the Kingdom of God, here on earth. Remember how Jesus Christ, Himself, in Matthew 21:43, told the Jewish usurpers who ruled in Judea,

“Therefore say I unto you, The Kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.”

God had repeatedly promised to establish a kingdom - God’s own kingdom - in this world, and place descendants of King David upon the throne of God’s Kingdom. In I Chronicles 17:11-12,14, God’s promise to David was,

“I will raise up thy seed after thee, which shall be of thy sons, and I will establish his kingdom. He shall build Me an house, and I will establish his throne forever: I will settle him in Mine house and in My Kingdom forever: and his throne shall be established forevermore.”

David believed God’s promise, for in I Chronicles 28: 4-5, David said,

“Howbeit the God of Israel chose me before all the house of my father to be king over Israel forever: for He hath chosen Judah to be the ruler; and of the House of Judah, the house of my father; and among the sons of my father He liked me to make me king over all Israel: And of my sons (for the Lord hath given me many sons) He hath chosen Solomon my son to sit upon THE THRONE OF THE KINGDOM OF THE LORD over Israel.”

This is a very real and substantial kingdom on this earth. In His famous parable of the tares sown among the wheat, in Matthew 13:38,41, Jesus Christ said,

“The field is the world; the good seed are the children of The Kingdom: but the tares are the children of the wicked one. The Son of man shall send forth His angels, and they shall gather OUT OF HIS KINGDOM all things that offend, and them which do iniquity.”

Certainly the children of Satan, those who offend and do iniquity, are not in Heaven with God, so that they will yet have to be gathered out of Heaven: but they are still here in this world, living here among the nations of Anglo-Saxon, Germanic and Scandinavian Israel, for you meet them and have business dealings with them every day: So this is the same Kingdom of God of which Jesus Christ spoke.

The Bible leaves no doubt that, when Jesus Christ returns to rule the world, He will sit upon the throne of this very same kingdom. Isaiah 9:7, which all churches recognize is prophesying of Jesus Christ, says,

“Of the increase of His government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David and upon his Kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even forever. The zeal of the Lord of Hosts will perform this. “

Confirming this, in the New Testament we find the same thing in Luke 1:32-33,

“He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto Him the throne of his father David, and He shall reign over the House of Jacob forever; and of His kingdom there shall be no end.”

But this is still the same kingdom of Israel which God established under King David, a kingdom of God’s saints, who are the Children of Israel. Daniel 7:27 confirms it:

“And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the Most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey Him.”

So now we know these things: (1) the time within which God will set up the fifth great empire, which is “in the days of these kings” of the Babylonian series of four Gentile empires, between 600 B.C. and 1453 A.D.; (2) that the kingdom which God will set up is an everlasting kingdom - and only the Kingdom of God is everlasting; (3) that it is an Israel kingdom, in fulfilment of God’s promises to David and to God’s chosen people, Israel.

For a little foundation information, we must go back even before 1500 B.C. The Israelites were then in Egypt. In Genesis 49:8-10 the throne had been promised to the Tribe of Judah until Jesus Christ takes the throne. Judah had twin sons, Pharez and Zarah; but Pharez was born before Zarah, so Pharez inherited the right to the throne. Ancient writings record that the - descendants of Zarah were very able men - even King Solomon being compared to them in wisdom. Since they could never take the throne in Palestine, where their ability could be used in governing the people, a large part of the descendants of Zarah left Egypt even before the general exodus, looking for places where their abilities could be fully used. They migrated northward along the east coast of the Mediterranean Sea, where they settled along the coasts of Asia Minor and in parts of Greece; they founded the city of Troy, and also the city of Miletus. It is accepted British history that after the fall of Troy, as described in Homer’s great poem, the Iliad, Brutus the Trojan led a party of Trojans to the west, and finally landed in Britain where they founded the city of London. The place where he landed is marked by a monument.

Understanding Prophecy Empty
PostSubject: Re: Understanding Prophecy   Understanding Prophecy I_icon_minitimeSat Aug 08, 2009 11:46 am

The city of Miletus became powerful and famous. Its coins were stamped with the lion of Judah. Milesian mercenary troops were hired by Egypt as border guards. It established several colonies, the most important of which was in Spain. This Milesian colony in Spain became powerful, and an expedition they sent to Ireland captured the whole island. Before that time, there were several tribal kings in various parts of Ireland, but the Milesians united them in one kingdom, Eochaidh the Heremon becoming the first king of Ireland, somewhat before 600 B.C. The Milesian kings ruled Ireland until the overthrow of Roderick O’Connor, the last native Irish king, by the invading Anglo-Norman armies under King Henry II of England, in 1171 A.D. The Irish of today who have names beginning with “Mc” or “0” are descendants of the Milesians.

In the early centuries of the Christian Era, Ireland was known as Scotia, and its people as Scots. More and more settlements were made by them on the northern part of the island of Great Britain, until by a little after 500 A.D. they founded a separate nation, Scotland. For a time, Ireland was called Scotia Major and Scotland Scotia Minor.

Meanwhile, the raids of the fierce Norse and Danish Vikings on the east coast of England had become so terrible, after withdrawal of the last of the Roman legions in 408 A.D., that the Britons invited settlements along the Channel coast by the Jutes, Angles and Saxons - Jutland being a part of modern Denmark, the Angles coming from what is modern Schleswig in Germany, and the Saxons being part of the people who gave their name to Saxony in Germany. You will recall that before the Israelites left Scythia, two of their tribes were already known as the Angli (the Latin form of “Angles”) and the Saxons. So by the year 600, we have Ireland, Scotland and England settled by Israelite people. Norse and Danish Vikings also settled areas along the English Channel coast. In my discussion of Historic Proof of Israel’s Migration, I have mentioned the proof of the migration of the Israelites from Scythia into Northern and Western Europe, so there can be no doubt that the settlers of the British Isles are Israelites.

However, this period did not bring a consolidation of them into a single kingdom: Only Ireland was united under a single king, while the island of Great Britain was broken into many petty kingdoms, always at war with each other. We must look to a later date to find the consolidation into one kingdom.

It is well-established history that Norse Vikings raided the coasts of Gaul (which is modem France) for centuries: even capturing and looting the city of Paris three different times. Finally, in 911 A.D., King Charles III of France ceded the province of Normandy, on the Channel coast, to a Viking Chief, RolIo, who became the first Duke of Normandy; this was done on condition that Rollo would settle large numbers of Norsemen there, to form a buffer against further raids by Viking chiefs. In fact, the word “Norman” is really just a form of “Norseman,” and shows the racial make-up of its population. From Normandy came Duke William of Normandy, William the Conqueror, in the year 1066 A.D., in a successful invasion of England. His Norman followers were Israelite Norsemen, of the same racial strain as much of the population of England.

William the Conqueror established the English kingdom which has continued without a break since the year 1066 A.D. True, there have been battles between competing claimants to the throne: but the successful contender never was a conqueror setting up a new kingdom - he was always a claimant to the existing throne of England. This kingdom has had an unbroken existence since the year 1066 A.D. It is well established historical fact that the Kings of England (and the Queens, in the two reigns when there was no King), have all been descendants of King David of Israel. Thus, God’s promise in Jeremiah 33:17 that David shall never lack a descendant to sit upon the throne of Israel, has been fulfilled.

But let’s get back to Daniel and his five kingdoms. All the churches agree that history has proved the four kingdoms represented by Nebuchadnezzar’s image to be Babylon, Medo-Persia, Alexander’s empire, and Rome. Then Daniel goes on to say, in Daniel 2:44, that “IN THE DAYS OF THESE KINGS” - and in the preceding verses he has been careful to mention only FOUR kingdoms, the last of which we know to be the Roman Empire - “in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed.” Daniel never speaks of the toes or the clay in them as kings or kingdoms.

The continuity of the Throne of David, through Ireland, Scotland and England, is historically established. Now, what about the time of its establishment as the Kingdom of England? As we saw the final end of the Roman Empire came in the year 1453 A.D. But the present Kingdom of England was established in the year 1066 A.D., well within what Daniel calls “the days of these kings.”

All the churches are willing to recognize Daniel as an inspired prophet through the interpretation of the vision of the image as representing the four successive world-empires. “In the days of these kings” the Kingdom of England was established and it became a world-empire many times greater than all the previous empires of world history. If this is not the kingdom set up by the God of heaven Himself, as Daniel says, then how did God happen to overlook the most remarkable kingdom in all human history? No, this isn’t according to the accepted doctrines of most churches; and they would rather reject the word of God than admit that any of their doctrines might be mistaken. It is a bitter pill for them to swallow, for it proves that we who preach the Anglo-Saxon identity message are right: The God of heaven DID set up His kingdom “in the days of these kings.”

THE GLORY OF BENJAMIN

By

Don Robson, U.S.A.

BENJAMIN had a rather poor start in life. The story is briefly told in Genesis 35:16-18:

"And they journeyed from Bethel; and there was but a little way to come to Ephrath: and Rachel travailed and she had hard labour. And it came to pass when she was in hard labour, that the midwife said unto her, Fear not, thou shalt have this son also. And it came to pass as her soul was departing, (for she died) that she called his name Benoni: but his father called him Benjamin."

Now Benoni means, Son-of-my-Anguish, but the name Benjamin means, Son-of-my-Right Hand. So, Benjamin began his life without knowing his mother but he was dearly loved by his father, being the second son of his fIrst love, Rachel.

Now Benjamin, a child of Jacob's old age, was loved and favoured and the first time Jacob sent his sons to Egypt to buy corn, Benjamin remained at home with his
father. But Joseph insisted that Benjamin come on the next trip, or he would not deal with the brothers. Doubtless, you will recall how he then planted the silver cup in Benjamin's grain sack so that he had a reason to detain him. He was testing his brothers and Judah begged to stand in for Benjamin, because he knew that returning to Jacob without Benjamin would bring about great sorrow for his father. After Judah's eloquent appeal, Joseph identified himself to his brothers and there was much hugging and weeping. After that incident, Joseph invited his father with all his household to come to Egypt to live in the land of Goshen, because the famine would continue for another five years.

So, in the following years, Benjamin's posterity developed into one of the tribes of Israel and at the time of Jacob's death, he blessed his children and Benjamin's
blessing is found in Genesis 49:27:

"Benjamin shall ravin as a wolf in the morning, he shall devour the prey, and at night, he shall divide the spoil"

The next incident, regarding the tribe of Benjamin, is found in the book of Judges, chapters 19,20 and 21. I shall indicate some highlights, but the whole story is
interesting. A Levite was travelling with his concubine and a man servant and decided to stay over in Gibeah, a town in Israel populated by the tribe of Benjamin. After a man had invited him to stay at his house for the night, the sons of Belial surrounded the house and demanded to see the Levite so that they might abuse him. (This is reminiscent of Lot's visitors when he lived in Sodom!) In his stead, his concubine was offered and abused all night long and died in the morning on the householder's threshold. The Levite therefore cut her body into twelve pieces and sent them to the twelve tribes.

The tribes were incensed and demanded that the sons of Belial be turned over to be put to death. The tribesmen of Benjamin would not agree, and civil war ensued. On the first two battles, Benjamin was successful; for the record, he fielded 26,700 men of battle. There is an interesting verse, (16) contained in Chapter 20, which states that among that total army, "there were 700 chosen men left-handed; everyone could sling stones an hair breadth and not miss!" The third encounter had a different outcome, however, when the men of Israel employed the same tactic that was used to subdue the men of Ai; namely, an ambush. When the men of Benjamin saw the smoke rising from Gibeah, they turned and fled but they were surrounded A blood bath ensued and only 600 men escaped.

There were regrets that the tribe had been decimated, and two different strategies were followed to provide the men with wives. After that, the men of Benjamin
returned to their cities and rebuilt them. And so the tribe was purged of evil and prepared for the role that would be assigned to them by the Lord in the time of King Rehoboam. As he prepared to fight the ten tribes to re-establish his kingdom, Shemaiah, a man of God, gave him the following message, I Kings, 12:23:

"Speak unto Rehoboam, the son of Solomon, the king of Judah and unto all the House of Judah and Benjamin and to the remnant of the people (some members of the other tribes lived in Judah where Jehovah was worshipped), saying, thus saith the Lord, Ye shall not go up, nor fight against your brethren the children of Israel: return every man to his house; for this thing is from me."

And in I Kings 11:13,36 we read:

"howbeit I will not rend away all the Kingdom; but I will give one tribe to thy son for David, my servant's sake, and for Jerusalem's sake which I have chosen. And unto his son will I give one tribe, that David my servant may have a light always before me in Jerusalem, the city which I have chosen to put my name there."

So civil war was averted, and Benjamin was confirmed as a part of Judah, so that there may be a light always before God's servant, David.

Then came Sennacarib from Assyria who captured all the fenced cities of Judah (2nd Kings 18:13) and deported about 200,000 citizens to join the ten tribes
deported about eight years earlier. You will, no doubt, remember he was defeated trying to take Jerusalem, by the Angel of the Lord, and that conquest was left to
Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon. As we know, the twelve tribes never returned to the holy land, but some of those deported to Babylon did return to rebuild the city and the temple, making it ready to receive the Messiah. The Benjamites, within the group, settled in Galilee enabling Jesus to select eleven Galileans to be disciples.

After the betrayal of Judas Iscariot, the apostles felt that one should be appointed in his place and they chose Matthias. To my knowledge, his name never appears
again in the Bible and we do not know how he participated. But Jesus chose the twelfth apostle, as Saul made his way on the road to Damascus. In his letter to
the Romans, Paul professes to be a Benjamite. Romans 11:1: "I say then, has God cast away His people? God forbid For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin." So, there we have it; the light bearing tribe! Twelve Benjamite apostles, men who had seen the risen Christ and carried His Gospel to all the twelve tribes scattered abroad, throughout Asia minor and into Europe.

But there is more! Luke 22: 29-30:

"And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father has appointed unto me; that ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel"

And that, I suggest, is the glory of Benjamin!

WOMAN IN THE WILDERNESS

By

P. R. Creasey, USA

Migrations

" I will shake Israel to and fro through all nations as a sieve is shaken to and fro, and not one pebble falls to the ground " (Amos 9:9. New English Bible)

Light is now breaking on the whereabouts of the Throne, so without further suspense, let us see what we can discover about the fate of the HOUSE OF ISRAEL
and that BIG BITE taken out of the HOUSE OF JUDAH by their ASSYRIAN captors.

Did they sit in miserable contemplation when they saw the power of their conquerors decline rapidly in the next century? On the contrary. When conflicts began to rage between the rising empire of Babylon and Assyria, they made good their ESCAPE, beginning their long trek by crossing the Euphrates.

In scattered bands they moved north of the Black Sea in the Crimean region, while others moved down into Asia Minor. Their escape is confirmed by the prophet
ESDRAS in the APOCRYPHA:

"These are the ten tribes which were led away out of their own land in the time of Hosea the king, whom Shalmaneser the king of the Assyrians led away captive; and carried them beyond the river (Euphrates) into another land. But they took counsel among themselves that they would leave the multitude of the heathen and go forth into a further country where never mankind dwelt, that they might there keep their statutes which they had not kept in their own land." (II Esdras 13:39-44)

Here is no mention of a return to the Holy Land, but the will to go further afield which Esdras describes as taking a "year and a half". He mentions their passing
through a region called AR-SERETH. The River Sereth is marked on ancient biblical maps.

Why then do many of our historians lose them on their long trek across Europe? Because foreigners did not call them "Israel". They were known as GHIMRI and
KUMRI by the Assyrians and Babylonians - a name derived from one of their notable kings, OMRI. The Persians knew them as SAKAE and the Greeks as
SCYTHIANS - Scythian means "wanderer" and this name has been applied to other peoples as well as Israel. The SAKAE also became known as the SAXONES, which is a form of SAACSONS or SONS OF ISAAC (ancient Hebrew has no vowels.)

Consequently, we must seek them from ancient historians and classical writers for the names listed. The astounding fact is, that our English historians and ethnologists, in their search for the origins of the ANGLO-SAXON-CELTIC race, pick them up in the CRIMEAN region, the very spot where the Apocrypha leaves them. There is no time gap, for they find the origins of the Anglo-Saxons in the SAME districts, and the SAME century that ISRAEL disappeared. Any amateur detective would have no difficulty in putting two and two together, but always there is this CURIOUS BLINDNESS.

Only a brief account is given here, but modern Assyriology and the work of archeologists have been helpful in tracing the LOST SHEEP OF THE HOUSE OF
ISRAEL.(Those who wish to pursue this search should refer to Josephus, Sharon Turner, the historian; Huxley, Rawlinson, Bruce Hannay, Sir A.Keith, as well as classical writers such as Diodorus, Herodotus, Homer and Strabo.)

God's Secret
In a miraculous manner, God's secret has been kept. Even the Jews of those times lost track of the House of Israel.Their ancient tradition speaks of a legendary river called SAMBATlON, and that the ten lost tribes dwelt safely behind its barrier.

Amazing as it seems, the Celtic expansion from Central Europe in the year B.C.390, included an attack on early Rome. They settled for two hundred years in
northern Italy; others known as the GAULS or GALATIANS, after invading Greece in 279 B.C. migrated to Asia Minor. (This is worthy of note in studying St.Paul's rnissionary journeys.) Later, most of these people moved west into France and thence to Britain.

Migrants
Doubtless many pockets of Israelites remained behind in the lands through which they passed, and it is possible that some of the 20th century's migrants to our
Commonwealth nations and the United States could be of Israel stock.

Wave After Wave Into the Isles of the Sea
In the centuries that followed, wave after wave of Israelites with new names and speaking different languages, exactly in accordance with the prophecies, reached the ISLES OF THE WEST, where they were to grow into a "NATION AND COMPANY OF NATIONS" colonising the waste places of the earth, and sending forth missionaries to preach the Gospel to all nations.

In the Divine Purpose, commerce and trade was a means to an end - to clear the way for the greatest gift to mankind - the lightof the glorious Gospel of Christ.

The waves of Israelites beat upon the shores of the Britarmic Isles under many names -Hibernians, Danaans, Scots, Picts, Britons, Angles, Saxons, Jutes, Danes, Celts, Frisians, and last of all, Nonnans. All were of the same stock, according to authoritative experts. In this way, unknown to herself, Israel was re-formed in the PREPARED PLACE, and from this nation also went out the nucleus of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA - MANASSEH - the Thirteenth tribe.

The name "BRITISH" is a giveaway, for despite the efforts of opponents to give it another derivative, the name itself is HEBREW for "COVENANT MAN". "BRTH" means Covenant, and "ISH" means Man. Remember also that Israel was to be called by a NEW NAME (Isaiah 62:2) and the Abrahamic Promise states, "In ISAAC shall thy seed be called." thus, SAAC'S SONS or SAXONS.

Dan The Serpent's Trail
DAN is likened to a serpent's trail in Genesis 49:17, and as a pioneer of Israel's migrations, his tribe was outstanding. He left his mark wherever he moved. Having split into three sections, the first migrating to Greece and thence to Ireland; the second, following centuries later; and the third, or northern colony of Danites, who were among the Assyrian captives, travelled by the overland route with the rest of the tribes.

Their Father's Name
Oh those Bible critics who think they know so much and miss every clue God has given us! DAN had a habit of calling every place where he settled by the name of their father, "DAN" (Joshua 19:47, Jeremiah 31:21; Judges 18:11,12) So as Israel was told to "set up WAYMARKS" on her western journey, we can follow their progress through this characteristic of the Tribe of Dan.

DAN, after the tribe's escape from captivity, first settled in the land west of the Black Sea, where they called the rivers DNieper, DNiester, and the DON. Further waymarks are found in DANau, DANinn, the DANaster, the DANdari, the DANube, DENmark, UDON, EriDON, DANes. In the Britannic Isles, they set up further marks with DUNdee, DUNraven in Scotland. DANS, DONS and DUNS are prolific in Ireland - DONegal, LonDONderry, DUNglow, DANsower and many others.

Incognito
To summarise, we might say that Israel was not exactly LOST but had become INCOGNITO. Doubtless, many remembered their descent, for even as late as AD.1634 references are found in literature identifying the Anglo-Saxons with ancient Israel. The knowledge could well have been taken for granted in early times but become obscured with the passing of the centuries.

Israel - A Christian Nation
Although at this stage only nominally CHRISTIAN, yet our institutions are basically Christian and this is acknowledged in Parliament which precedes its business with the LORD'S PRAYER.

The Creator Enters His Creation
The enormity of the burden which Jesus carried cannot be fully realised. He had to resemble his brothers in every respect, in order to prove a merciful and faithful high priest, to expiate the sins of the people. (Hebrews 2:17) The success of God's Plan depended entirely on HIS FINISHED WORK. Upon his shoulders rested the full responsibility of "PERFORM(ING) THE MERCY PROMISED TO OUR FATHERS AND TO REMEMBER HIS HOLY COVENANT- THE OATH HE SWARE UNTO ABRAHAM." (Luke 1:72)

It had to be by WAY OF THE CROSS - the death of the TESTATOR to make the WILL AND TESTAMENT valid for the heirs. His time was limited to three short years in which to train his disciples and to prepare for the great work ahead of the HOLY SPIRIT.

This was the only way for the Creator - He FOR whom and BY whom the universe exists - to penetrate his fallen creation. One of the most perceptive descriptions is that of C.S. Lewis in "Miracles":

"We, in this planet's atmospheric depths can only dimly apprehend the Love, which at so great cost, buys the whole world for the sake of his treasure - the WOMAN-ISRAEL. (See Matthew 13:44). Wherever his "sheep" were scattered, they were to be assembled in the APPOINTED PLACE for the work of the SPIRIT, yet to be manifested nationally."

"Then shall they know that I am the LORD their God, which caused them to be led into captlvlty among the heathen: but I have gathered them unto their own land ...for I have poured out MY SPIRIT UPON THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL... " - (Ezekiel 39:28,29)

Understanding Prophecy Empty

The Green Olive Tree
The lovely symbol of Israel was "A GREEN OLIVE TREE" as, when St. Paul refers to the "grafting in of a wild olive branch" and the "breaking off" of another, we need to be clear that THE OLIVE TREE itself is TWELVE TRIBED ISRAEL, gaining nourishment from its hidden root - CHRIST. With the captivity of Ten -tribed Israel, nearly all the OLIVE TREE'S branches were broken off. Only Judah remained, and with their rejection of the Messiah they were broken off.

In St. Paul's day, it was only the ISRAEL REMNANT that formed the NEW OLIVE TREE; the rest were yet to be found. This was the secret work of the Lord - its reconstitution in the Prepared Place.

The Stone of Destiny
If we should visit Westminster Abbey (Ed. note: now Edinburgh) and view the weather-beaten stone in the seat of the Coronation Chair, it would seem like a
DREAM to hear the guide informing us that it was reputed to be "JACOB'S PILLOW".

On the first night of Jacob's exile, he slept under the stars with a stone for a pillow, and DREAMED a remarkable dream of a ladder to heaven with angels
ascending and descending. It was there that God CONFIRMED TO HIM THE BIRTHRIGHT.

"God descends to re-ascend. He comes down; down from the heights of ABSOLUTE BEING into time and space, down Into humanity... down to the very roots and sea-bed of the Nature he has created. But he goes down to come up again and BRING THE WHOLE RUINED WORLD UP WITH HIM... or like a diver rushing down into black and cold water, down through increasing pressure into the deathlike regions. . . then up again, back to colour and light, his lungs almost bursting, till suddenly he breaks surface again, holding in his hand the dripping precious thing that he went down to recover. "

Jacob must have taken the stone with him into Egypt for he mentions it in his blessing of Joseph as "the shepherd, the STONE OF ISRAEL." It was later
carried in all Israel's journeys until it was placed in Solomon's Temple where it was used as a "pillar of witness," and all the kings of David's line were crowned ON it or BESIDE it, as the shout went up, "GOD SAVE THE KING." - (II Kings 11: 12-14)

In Joshua we read that he set up a "stone" by the sanctuary as a "WITNESS" for it hath HEARD ALL THE WORDS OF THE LORD.(Joshua 24:27) No other stone but JACOB'S could have heard the confirmation of the BIRTHRIGHT to Jacob, which was the basic Covenant on which all of Israel's hopes were based.

Rock of Ages
The stone in the Coronation Chair has a CRACK which has almost rent its solid mass asunder. Could this "stone" be the ROCK which Moses struck to bring forth water for the thirsty people? Angry with their complainings, Moses, instead of "SPEAKING TO THE ROCK" as commanded, SMOTE THE ROCK TWICE.

As the ROCK was figurative of CHRIST and had a deep spiritual significance, Moses was denied entrance to the Promised Land. When the King of Babylon sacked Jerusalem and destroyed the Temple, he took all the golden vessels to Babylon. But what use would the conqueror have for a weather-beaten old stone? Yet it would mean a great deal to Jeremiah for he had in his charge the Royal Princesses, one of whom was heir to the Davidic Throne and, as was the custom, would be crowned upon it.What more natural than that Jeremiah rescued the Stone took it with him to Egypt and thence to Ireland?

It was later taken to Scotland byFergus II, of the blood royal of Ireland, and was deposited in Scone. To the dismay of the Scots, Edward the First of England seized the stone and brought it to the Abbey where he had a special chair made for it. The Scots tried hard to get it back without success, though an abortive attempt was made in the 20th century. (Ed. note: the Stone is now in Edinburgh.)

There is a legend, "If Fates go right, where'er this stone is found, the Scots shall monarchs of that realm be found." It came true for the Crowns of England and Scotland were united in James VI of Scotland who became James I of Great Britain. The Scots claim descent from JUDAH in a Document in the Register House in Edinburgh, with the seal of Robert the Bruce and his nobles.

God and My Birthright
The Kingdom message covers so many branches of knowledge on which the Scriptures act as a SEARCHLIGHT, that it is a great help in this decade when
traditions and standards are falling all around us. It adds to the Christian's armoury.

It is an astonishing feat, however, to put the whole TRUTH IN A NUTSHELL - yet this was achieved in the design of the ROYAL COAT OF ARMS which belongs, not only to the Monarch, but to the nation.

Lion and the Unicorn
Britain's emblem has always been the King of the Beasts - the LION, which represents our own monarch. But there is also a CROWNED LION ABOVE THE THRONE which is a figure of the LION OF THE TRIBE OF JUDAH - one of the titles of our LORD JESUS CHRIST. The UNICORN is an ox with horns drawn in profile - another of Israel's symbols. Balaam likened Israel to a UNICORN, also Moses said "He will push the people together to the ends of the earth" with these horns.

The Broken Chain
Perhaps most significant is the BROKEN CHAIN around the neck of the Unicorn. It is the sign of the BROKEN BONDAGE from Egypt. A sure identity mark.

Lion Rampant
Within the shield, on top right hand corner is the LION RAMPANT. There is a SCARLET THREAD around it - the sign of Judah's twin son ZARAH, the one upon whom the midwife tied the Scarlet Thread. The Zarah line who entered Ireland early in Israel's history, and was later united with the PHAREZ line in the marriage of Princess Tamar-Tephi with the then King of Ireland.

When James VI of Scotland became James the First of Great Britain in 1603, it was the uniting under one king of all the Israel tribes - JUDAH and ISRAEL. This
fulfilled Ezekiel's prophecy:

The Shield
Protection is symbolised here. "Fear not Abraham, I am thy SHIELD and thy exceeding great reward."

Six Young Lions
Represent the COMPANYor COMMONWEALTH OF NATIONS. The RED DRAGON is doing his utmost to divide the English-speaking world.

The Harp of David
On the shield in the bottom left hand corner is the HARP OF DAVID held by a WOMAN - the WOMAN - ISRAEL. What romance is here! It is the same harp which Tamar-Tephi brought to Ireland - the heir of the Kings of Israel - the harp which belonged to sweet singer of Israel, King David, the Psalmist.

The Mantle and the Holy Spirit
Cover the Coat of CLOVEN TONGUES OF FIRE. Here is ELIJAH'S MANTLE through which he performed miracles. It also signifies the HOLY SPIRIT at Pentecost, which is yet to be poured out on ALL ISRAEL in the LAST DAYS.

The Helmet and the Crown
Spiritual warfare is seen in the figure of the HELMET. The Crown surmounting it is the monarch's which has the SAME TWELVE JEWELS as those worn on the breastplate of the high priests of Israel. On the top of the Crown is the ORB and on top of that is the CROSS.

Evil Is To Him Who Evil Thinks
Round the shield is the circle of the ORDER OF THE GARTER (note the Buckle), "HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE," or "Evil is to him who evil thinks," - a paraphrase of God's words to Abraham, "Cursed be he that curseth thee." - (Genesis 12:3)

The Buckler
"He (God) is a BUCKLER to all that trust in him." (2 Samuel 22:31). A beautiful symbol for the whole Coat of Arms is bound with the only BUCKLER which can guarantee permanency.

God and My (Birth) Right
"I will make them one nation upon the mountains of Israel, and one king shall be king to them all, and they shall.no more be two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all." - (Ezekiel 37:22)

Finally, to resolve all doubts, is the scroll at the base, "DIEU ET MON DROIT," - "GOD AND MY RIGHT" - and what is that RIGHT but my right of BIRTH?

The Royal Coat of Arms, being a NATIONAL possession, confirms the BIRTHright of TRUE ISRAEL. It is also the answer to those who regard ELECTION as somewhat of a mystery.

Election of RACE has become ELECTION BY GRACE - the same clay as ancient Israel has been remoulded into a NEW VESSEL by the Divine Potter.

So there, in the Royal Coat of Arms, we have the whole story in a NUTSHELL - and yet there is more to come.

The Tender Twig and the Thistle
The QUEEN MOTHER'S Coat of Arms identifies the ZARAH - SCARLET THREAD line most clearly. As a descendant of Robert the Bruce of Scotland, the
Queen Mother's shield has the LION RAMPANT surrounded by the SCARLET THREAD OF ZARAH.

The exciting symbolism is, that on top of the Crown Her Majesty is presenting the SCOTCH THISTLE, while beside her are two TENDER TWIGS OF THE CEDAR TREE (DAVID'S ROYAL HOUSE.)

But what means the THISTLE? In II Kings 14:9, the King of Israel, seeking a wife for his son, sends to the King of Judah this request:

"The THISTLE that was in Lebanon sent to the CEDAR that was in Lebanon saying GIVE THY DAUGHTER TO MY SON TO WIFE." (The seed of the King of Israel is likened to the THISTLE - possibly because the northern House of Israel was a thorn in the side of the Judaic kings.)

So all the links of Ezekiel's Parable (Chapter 17:22, 23 concerning the whereabouts of the CEDAR TREE) have been joined together.

Three times already has the Throne been overturned, from Jerusalem to Ireland, from Ireland to Scotland, and from Scotland to England, where it will remain UNTIL HE COMES WHOSE RIGHT IT IS. Then we may expect a fourth OVERTURNING TO JERUSALEM where, in a significant passage, we read:

"Jerusalem will be inhabited again IN HER OWN PLACE." - (Zechariah 12:6)

Therefore, if Jerusalem is not now in her own place, she must be elsewhere. Could it be WESTMINSTER where our monarchs are crowned?
